Lithium Harvest Receives Grant to Search for New Sources of Critical Raw Materials
In line with our unwavering commitment to the green energy transition and sustainable resource management, Lithium Harvest is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded funding from MUDP (The Environmental Technology Development and Demonstration Program under the Ministry of Environment of Denmark). This grant will be pivotal in supporting our efforts to identify new sources and production methods for critical raw materials.
As the demand for green energy solutions surges, it is imperative to rethink how we source these essential materials. Traditional production methods often lead to significant environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions, while geopolitical factors create supply risks. At Lithium Harvest, we are already making strides in the right direction with our proprietary technology for lithium extraction from oilfield wastewater in the US, with significant environmental benefits and lower costs.
This project aims to explore alternative and sustainable sources of critical raw materials in Europe in geothermal waters, waste waters, and legacy deposits, such as old waste deposits. By embracing innovation and cutting-edge technologies, we strive to establish a more environmentally conscious and stable supply chain for these vital resources.
Collaboration is at the core of our mission, and we are proud to be supported by esteemed institutions like Aalborg University and GEUS (Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland) to deliver this ambitious project. Together, we will identify extraction technologies that align with our commitment to sustainability and address any technology gaps that may arise.
The Environmental Technology Development and Demonstration Program (MUDP) under the Danish Ministry of Environment supports developing and applying new environmental technologies that will benefit the climate and the environment. The program is managed by an independent board that decides which projects to support. We are deeply grateful to MUDP for their support in this transformative endeavor.
At Lithium Harvest, our vision extends beyond industry success. Rethinking how we use our resources is essential for a sustainable future. By leading the direction in identifying alternative sources and challenging the status quo for the extraction of critical raw materials, we are contributing to the global mission of responsible resource management.
We look forward to starting the project and will provide more information about project advancement.
