Paw Juul to Present at Direct Lithium Extraction Europe 2026

From Water Chemistry to Better DLE Performance

No two lithium-bearing brines are exactly alike. Different water chemistries bring different impurities, competing ions, scaling risks, and process requirements - which means successful direct lithium extraction can’t rely on the same flowsheet everywhere.

On 15 September 2026, Lithium Harvest CTO and Co-Founder Paw Juul will present at Direct Lithium Extraction Europe 2026 in Munich, one of Europe’s dedicated forums for sustainable lithium production and DLE technology.

His session, “Technical Challenges from Different Sources of Water in the DLE Process,” will explore how the full process needs to be engineered around the characteristics of the feedstream - from pretreatment and adsorption through lithium chloride concentration and downstream crystallization.

Paw will cover:

  • Pretreatment strategies for preparing different brines for efficient DLE
  • Adsorption and desorption optimization to improve recovery, stability, and operating efficiency
  • Lithium chloride concentration for efficient downstream processing and consistent product quality
  • Crystal growth optimization to improve lithium purity, yield, and overall process performance

It’s a challenge at the heart of Lithium Harvest’s approach: DLE isn’t a standalone box. It’s part of an integrated brine-to-lithium system designed around real water chemistry.
